Nextgen has relocated it's Head Office to Sydney, as a direct result of the announcement that Nextgen's ownership had been transferred to Envex Services Pty Ltd T/as Nextgen.

Founded in February 2000, Nextgen was the first independent, Australian owned energy broking company in the market providing a specialised matching and information service to Australian wholesale electricity market participants. Within two years Nextgen had cestablished itself in the top three companies broking energy in Australia.

Nextgen then quickly entered the Environmental credits market and has established itself as the major broker in this sector, being awarded the Environmental Finance magazine award for Best Broker for Australasia – Renewable Energy Certificates, and Best Dealer for Carbon Markets Australasia in  2009 and 2010. Other milestones include being the first to broker a PPA (Power Purchasing Agreement) in Australia, and the first broker Australian-based credits to a European buyer.
